Rabbi Hayon led a group of 35 Emanu El members to Morocco in 2024, to explore the history of Jewish life in North Africa. They visited the famous Mosque of Hassan II, a guided tour through the Arab world’s only Jewish museum, exploration of Fes’s Medina, the Chouara Tannery, Rabat’s Royal Palace, the Mellah (Jewish quarter) of Marrakech, Djemaa El Fna Square, and much more.
