Shira Moses

Shira joined the full-time staff at Congregation Emanu El in 2020, and continues to teach in the Helfman Religious School, including the b’nei mitzvah program. Shira draws on her Jewish education and professional experience in the Jewish community. After earning her B.A. from Tufts University, including a year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in addition to her M.A. from the George Washington University, she worked for the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. Shira later worked for the Jewish Community Relations Council in Philadelphia and the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Shira is an avid Israeli dancer who has traveled to England, Costa Rica, and Israel to dance with world-renowned teachers and choreographers. She is the proud mom of a Becker graduate, Avi, who works at PNC Bank following his graduation from the University of Pittsburgh.
