Shayna Ellsworth is the Youth and Young Adult Engagement Coordinator at Congregation Emanu El and Helfman Religious School. Her passion for working with the next generation of Jewish youth and young adults was shaped by 10 summers at Greene Family Camp, where she was introduced to the pivotal experience of Jewish community and connection.
The heart of Shayna’s relationship with Judaism is the culture and sense of belonging that Jews create when coming together. She brings that same spirit to her work by creating opportunities for young people to connect, express themselves, and engage meaningfully with Jewish life. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University, she draws on her artistic background to inspire creativity in others, as she believes that every person of any age has the power to make a lasting impact on their community through creative expression.
Outside of her professional life, Shayna enjoys traveling, discovering new music, keeping up with the latest movies, and spending time with her friends and family.
