Born and raised in Houston, Ali Bamberger returned to her hometown in 2021 and has been actively involved in the Houston Jewish community ever since. A proud graduate of the Pioneer Class of The Emery/Weiner School, she earned her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. Ali brings a diverse professional background in hospitality management, catering sales, event planning, community engagement, and the automotive industry—an area she has particularly enjoyed.
Ali joined Congregation Emanu El in May 2026 as the Membership & Engagement Associate. In her role, she focuses on building meaningful relationships with members, strengthening connections throughout the congregation, and creating welcoming and engaging experiences for individuals and families. Her passion for relationship-building and community development has been a consistent thread throughout her professional career and volunteer leadership.
A dedicated Jewish communal leader, Ali recently completed a two-year term as Chair of the Young Adult Division (YAD) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, after previously serving on its Advisory Committee. She currently serves as a Trustee-at-Large on the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston Board and as Chair of the Houston cohort of the National Young Leadership Cabinet of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). She is also a member of the Grants Committee of the Houston Jewish Community Foundation.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Ali enjoys spending time with friends and her 15-year-old Boston Terrier named Rocky, traveling, discovering local coffee shops, and exploring Houston’s dynamic culinary scene.
