A Journey of Discovery and Growth

Our Approach: Reggio-Inspired Learning

The Reggio Emilia philosophy emphasizes the rights of children to be heard, respected, and surrounded by an aesthetically pleasing environment. At Becker, we honor children as capable researchers who contribute valuable knowledge to their community. Our teachers act as co-learners, fostering a sense of inquiry and wonder through hands-on exploration and meaningful interactions. This philosophy shapes a learning environment where children thrive intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically, all while embracing the positive values of Judaism.

Operated under the auspices of Congregation Emanu El and governed by a Board of Directors alongside an Early Childhood Advisory Committee, Becker School continuously evolves to meet the needs of our students, guided by our mission, vision, and core values.

The Role of the Educator

Our teachers are more than instructors; they are researchers, nurturers, and guides who learn alongside the children. By creating consistent, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate environments, our educators address the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs of each child. We believe that the relationship between teachers, children, and families forms the foundation for meaningful learning experiences.
