Is there a special ring, brooch, necklace or other piece of jewelry that is an heirloom in your family? Do you have a special story or memory you can share about that special piece?
Sisterhood is excited to be a co-sponsor of the closing night film, The Ring, at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC’s Houston Film Festival. The Ring tells the story of a man who journeys with his daughter to find the ring that saved his Holocaust-survivor mother.
Together we will enjoy a catered vegetarian dinner at the J and tell our tales about special heirloom pieces that belong to us. Spouses, partners, and friends are all welcome. Guests are encouraged to bring their heirloom item (or a photo). After dinner we will view the film in the J’s Kaplan theatre.
