Save the date for Phylis Berman’s review of Street Corner Dreams, by author Florence Reiss Kraut. This novel is a suspenseful family saga, love story and gangste3r tale all wrapped into one great read. This is the story of Ben and Golda Feinstein and their son, Morty, who immigrate to Brooklyn in the early 1900s. During the Depression, Ben makes a dangerous decision which may ruin his family financially. To save his father, Morty seeks help from a gangster friend which puts him on a threatening, life-altering path. This suspenseful family saga explores the questions:  How much do we owe the family that has sacrificed for us, and does that debt outweigh our own hopes and dreams for a better life?
