Calling all art aficionadas! Join Sisterhood for a unique opportunity to visit with internationally known steel sculptor, Michelle O’Michael, and tour her three-story high sculpture studio!

Michelle is a proud Texan and amazing creator of large pieces of public art commissioned by private collectors, cities and municipalities. Her work is collected across the U.S. from New York City to Hollywood, and internationally in Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and the United Kingdom. She has been the president and owner of The Foundry for 36 years. We are privileged to be hosted by this amazing artist, one of the few women in the field, and see firsthand what it takes to make a sculpture three stories high, piece by piece. Glimpses of her artwork can be found at omichael.com.

Transportation to The Foundry, located at 1414 Hardy St. in Houston, will be via bus from Congregation Emanu El. The bus will pick up participants at 12:15 p.m. and return to the temple at approximately 3:30 p.m. Because the event is limited to 35 guests, Sisterhood members will be given priority.

Get ready for an afternoon of camaraderie and to be in awe of Michelle’s creativity, imagination and craftsmanship.

The cost of the tour is $20. Payment must be received by the Sisterhood office by Monday, April 25. You may mail a check or register online.
