Join Rabbi Silk for an engaging monthly lunch and learn class beginning on Thursday, November 20, at 12:30 p.m.
Using the fabulous IYUN curriculum we will study and discuss: Pursuing Justice – Walking Wholeheartedly in a Broken World. This thought provoking and engaging six-session course will guide us through deep and meaningful learning to respond to serious and important questions of our time:
How might Jewish tradition refract an ethos for the kind of commitments we want to make and the actions we want to take to improve our shared society?
For whom are we responsible?
What do we need to know about ethics, power, and action before we make those decisions?
To address these enduring questions, we look to classical and contemporary Jewish wisdom, to see what it might offer us as we work toward creating a more just world.
Classes will meet: December 18, January 22, February 19, March 19 and April 23.
Registration is required as class size is limited to 30 participants.
