This event will honor Rabbi Pam Silk with a tribute for her 20 years of service to Congregation Emanu El and will feature renowned Chef Alon Shaya of New Orleans as our guest speaker.
As our event is “all about food,” a portion of the proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry and the Alexander Jewish Family Service (JFS) Passover Assistance Fund.
We are thrilled that our guest speaker will be Chef Alon Shaya, multiple James Beard Foundation award winner and author of Shaya, an Odyssey of Food, My Journey Back to Israel. His celebrated cuisine – food of his native Israel infused with a New Orleans flavor – has been acknowledged as “unimagined perfection that has changed the cuisine of New Orleans itself.”
