Emanu El Houston’s Congregant of the Year Award, named in loving memory of Ernest Krautkopf, a long time member and devoted volunteer, is given to each year to a congregant who exemplifies his legacy of community and synagogue involvement, leadership, and a love of Judaism.
This year’s Congregant of the Year is Marlene Rubin. She will be honored at our annual Congregant of the Year Luncheon on April 26, immediately preceding the congregation’s Annual Meeting.
In addition to celebrating our Congregant of the Year, you can help shape Emanu El’s future by participating in our Annual Meeting, voting on key items and being a part of the necessary quorum to conduct important synagogue business. These items include:

- Nominating Committee Report (and short bios of new Board and Executive Committee members)
