11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Sisterhood to experience a tour of the recently opened Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience located in New Orleans. This docent-led Zoom tour will explore the fascinating history of Jews in the South. Although representing less than one percent of southern states’ population, Southern cities and towns have had Jewish mayors, sheriffs, council members and civic leaders in high numbers. This unique museum is the answer to the often-heard comment, “I didn’t know there were Jews in the South!”
The cost is $10 for this Zoom program.
Please RSVP online or by contacting the Sisterhood office at 713.529.5771, ext. 233 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, October 11.
