Reviewed by Marlene Rubin, As Close to Us As Breathing by Elizabeth Poliner is about a Jewish family of three sisters who return every summer to a beach house on the Connecticut shore with their husbands and children. Set in the 1950's, this novel explores their individual, interconnected, and disjointed histories.

Book reviews are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch, and desserts will be served.
