7:00 PM - 8:00 PMonline (Zoom)

Noted Israel Arab journalist Khaled Abu Toameh will give our audience a glimpse into what the upcoming Palestinian elections mean not only for the Palestinians, but for Israelis and Americans alike.

Abu Toameh will be able to share what could happen as a result of the May 22nd election, which will be the first for the Palestinian Legislative Council in 15 years. Over 93% (or 2.6 million) of the 2.8 million eligible voters in the West Bank and Gaza have registered to take part.

In addition to the Palestinian elections, Abu Toameh will look back at the recent Israeli elections and what the Palestinians hope to see a result. The journalist will also explore what the Biden administration means for the Palestinian population and what it is like to be Arab Israeli presently.

Abu Toameh has reported for the Jerusalem Post on Arab affairs since 2002 while also serving as a producer and consultant for NBC News since 1989. In addition to these roles, he has produced several documentaries on the Palestinians for the BBC, Channel 4, Australian, Danish and Swedish television.
