Ever Open: A Concert to Celebrate 75 Years of Emanu El

Sunday, January 27, 2019 21 Sh'vat 5779

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Ever Open: A Musical Celebration features Cantor Rollin Simmons joined by special guests Noah Aronson and Elana Arian, both nationally recognized recording artists, and will focus on the text, “Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8).

Prominently featured will be the world premiere of a song commission by Noah Aronson based on the Micah quote, which can be found on the wall of Emanu El’s Barish Sanctuary. The Emanu El community is honored to be part of Aronson’s recent endeavor, The Chai Project: 18 New Songs for 18 Communities. You can hear the song “Do Justice” below (featuring Cantor Simmons and the Emanu El youth choir).

Cantor Simmons is thrilled to bring this concert to Houston: “There will be many voices woven together during the event in addition to ours, from the voices of our esteemed rabbis to our congregation’s youth and volunteer choirs to the voices within the sanctuary that afternoon!” Please RSVP below and join us!
