While You’re Dining – Support Emanu El
Gugliani’s Italian Grill in Rice Village & Meyerland (formerly Collina’s) is supporting our congregation with a rebate to us for all members and their guests who dine with them any Tuesday or Wednesday – any week of every month. All you have to do is tell your server that your support Emanu El.
Help Us Keep In Touch
Please let us know of any change in your home address, phone number or email address. You may either call the Temple office at (713) 529-5771 or via our website under the Membership heading, click on “Change your info”.
Your email address is used in various ways, such as Emanu El’s congregational announcements about coming events, being contacted by one of our rabbis, staff, committee chairs and auxiliaries. Email addresses have proven to be a quick, economical and easy way to reach our members. If you do not wish to receive our congregational email announcements, you need only to click on the “SafeUnsubscribe” link at the bottom of those emails. Please do not report these as Spam, just simply ‘unsubscribe’.
We Need Minyan Leaders
Every Monday through Thursday we have a 6 p.m. Daily Service (20 minutes) led by lay leaders. Let us count you among our lay leaders for this year. Those signing up will be trained by our rabbis who will make you feel comfortable in your new leadership position. Email Rabbi Silk, or call 713-529-5771 for information or to sign up.
Please Notify Us When Someone Is Hospitalized
You may or may not know that because of the way in which our privacy laws are being interpreted, hospitals no longer inform us when a new patient is admitted! If you or a member of your family is hospitalized, it is critical that you let us know. Please notify Jennifer at 713-529-5771, extension 213.
Tzedakah Boxes
Did you know that when you return your filled Tzedakah box, we will give you another? If it’s during office hours, the receptionist has one. If it’s on Shabbat, we always have new ones on the Welcome Table. And, when you bring your Tzedakah Box back to the Temple, if your name is on it, we can acknowledge it. Please be sure the top is on firmly so the contents will not spill.
