MITZVAH DAY

Mitzvah Day is the one day each year when we go out into the community to make a difference in the lives of others. Over 1500 congregants gather to put their faith into action and work on one of nearly sixty projects. Each year we have fed nearly 2000 hungry people in our community, landscaped the grounds at a hospital, visited homebound elderly and those in hospitals, sorted clothes and distributed them to needy people in our community, distributed tons of non-perishable food which we collected, made gift bags for AIDS clients, planned a variety of field trips for needy children, seniors, brain-injured trauma victims, mentally challenged adults and troubled teens, and painted and did repair work at several different agencies.
